Overview
DCX is where Commerce, Culture, and Community meet in the heart of Washington D.C. Located at the convergence of M Street and the bend of the Washington Channel, DCX serves as a bold terminus to The Wharf. An elegant rotated glass and steel volume that appears to float above its concrete plinth, the new five-story commercial building will reflect the natural beauty of the site – from The Potomac River to expansive outdoor gardens.
Developed by Hoffman Madison Waterfront, DCX is designed by Morris Adjmi Architects with interiors imagined by Bonetti / Kozerski Architecture. With 14,000 SF of waterfront retail available for lease, the building will be home to The Atlantic, a leader in the world of journalism for more than 165 years bringing original thinking to the most important issues of our time. As such, The Atlantic anchors the vision behind DCX, where culture, community and commerce intersect.
